The first step in constructing headers was to run the PIPEMAX software program to determine the specifications for the headers. PIPEMAX prompted me for a number of engine specifications and then computed specifications for two step headers, single step headers and non stepped headers. I decided to construct two step headers. According to PIPEMAX the optimal two step header for my combination was:
302 Ford exhaust flanges & stubs, J Bends and collectors were then purchased. Hooker Headers manufactures all of the required materials.
